AREMAS
soul friend
About Us
_edited_edited.png)
Within each of us, lies the innate desire for a soul friend - a companion with whom we can freely divulge our innermost thoughts, emotions, and dreams. In this sacred relationship, authenticity thrives without the need for pretense or limitations. A soul friend becomes your sanctuary, a haven where you feel secure and embraced.
At the core of our beliefs is the essence of nurturing the mind, body, and soul in unison. We cherish the serenity found in quiet moments, the expansion of our consciousness, forging deeper connections, indulging in self-care rituals, savoring soul-nourishing food, fostering meaningful relationships, and cultivating enriching habits. Together, we strive to create a holistic environment that nurtures every aspect of our being.
Origin
The name AREMAS originates from the word ARIMA, a Greek word meaning soul.
Everyone needs a soul friend - a friend with whom you can share your innermost self, heart, and mind. It is a relationship where you are understood as you are without any mask or boundaries. They are your home; you are safe and protected with them.
Aremas came into existence to help people to take action and change the world. We want to provide a platform where people can not only share their stories and innermost thoughts but also seek help without any hesitation and judgment- on an individual and community level.

Philosophy
Our vision is to remove the stigma that comes along with mental health. By changing our attitude towards health, we can change our lives and those around us.
We know that seeking out therapy can be stressful or even scary, but we want you to know that seeking help is an act of strength — and we’re so proud of you for taking this step.
At AREMAS we believe that all parts of human beings; physical and non-physical, are deeply interconnected and in constant communication. We have adopted the Holistic Approach which allows us to put the client at the centre and not the diagnosis.

Our Approach
Holistic Wellbeing
Holistic health teaches that true healing starts from within. When you align your inner world, the outer world follow within vitality and peace.
The Holistic Approach focuses on physical, mental, emotional, social & spiritual well being.
The holistic approach is a combination of Traditional Talk Therapy (psychotherapy) and Non-Traditional Therapy. We believe that it is important to include Eastern Cultural Approach to well-being as it blurs the boundaries between the body (matter) and mind (spirit).
Meet our founder
I'm Himani Sahni, a counselling psychologist and founder of Aremas
My work in mental health began with a deep curiosity about human experience and gradually evolved into a commitment to ethical, grounded, and responsible psychological practice. Over the past four years, I have worked closely with individuals navigating emotional distress, identity concerns, relationships, and life transitions. Sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments has shaped not just how I practise therapy, but also how I understand the responsibility that comes with it.
Aremas came into existence at a time when mental health conversations were becoming more visible—but also increasingly oversimplified. Psychology was often reduced to advice, motivation, or surface-level listening. As someone trained in the discipline, this felt concerning. Therapy is not casual conversation; it is a structured, ethical, and deeply human process that requires training, reflection, and accountability.
Along with my college peers, I founded Aremas to create an authentic space where psychology is respected as a science and a practice, where people feel safe, and where qualified professionals can offer meaningful support. The foundation of Aremas is built on values of integrity, safety, and care—for both clients and practitioners.
As a therapist, I do not believe in fixing people. I believe in creating a space where individuals can explore their experiences without judgment, develop insight, and move toward change at their own pace. My work is grounded in empathy, ethical boundaries, and reflective practice.
Through Aremas, I continue to work with clients while also contributing to training and learning spaces for psychology students and early-career therapists. A core part of my work involves bridging the gap between academic learning and the realities of therapeutic practice—something I believe is essential for sustainable, ethical work in this field.
Aremas is an extension of how I practise and what I stand for: depth over trends, responsibility over performance, and humanity at the centre of mental health care.

Breath deeply.
Exhale softy.
